At the beginning of the month, Lariann had an MRI and a visit with her doctor at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. The tumor appears to still be shrinking, however there are a couple of cysts that seem to be getting bigger. A cyst is an abnormal sac in the body, filled with a fluid or semisolid and enclosed in a membrane. So it's not cancerous. She will be going be in 2 months for another MRI, they are going to keep an eye on the cysts and hopefully the chemotherapy will shrink them. So Lariann will continue to do chemotherapy at the beginning of each month in a pill form that she takes for 5 days. She just finished another round last night and feels tired and a little sick, but other wise okay. Thank you to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. It means a lot to us and sure has helped us get through this trial. (The tumor pictured is not Lariann's, just some random one I found online)

I'm so glad that things are starting to come along with you guys. We've prayed so hard that Lariann would get better, and slowly but surely, she seems to be doing that. Feel free to check out my blog too if you like, I found yours on Liz's blog. Mine is www.aleshasworld.wordpress.com. :)
if the cysts don't shrink is that something they're going to have to go in and remove?
They'll try some other stuff before they go in again. But it's not out of the question.
Sounds like things are going well. Hopefully the cysts are just a small bump in the road. Tell her I said "hi" and we think about you guys all the time!
