I always enjoy beating an in-state rival, especially since Weber State doesn't do it very often. But the Wildcats managed to beat the Aggies this year.
In the end, the Wildcats not only triumphed inside the post, but WSU also kept better control of the ball and eventually the game, handing USU a 78-71 loss in the Dee Events Center before 7,797 spectators. Utah State owned a 54-47 lead midway through the second half, but only converted four baskets the rest of the way.
The Aggies also turned the ball over 23 times and Weber State also shot 16 more free throws. Much of Weber State's second-half offense came from inside where Steve Panos and Arturas Valeika combined for 28 points. Valeika also pulled down 12 rebounds. The Wildcats helped themselves on the glass with 14 offensive rebounds.

Congrats on the victory in b-ball, but I'm too excited about the Aggies putting together their first football winning streak since 2003.
